  I just adopted a dog at this facility yesterday. It was a wonderful experience there. It is the most immaculate animal shelter I have visited. Thank you Hart, for giving me my life long loyal companion.

  HART is an amazing place to take your animals to. They have a full service clinic, grooming, a pet hotel, and adoption wing! They even have a thrift shop in McHenry plaza that always has great finds! Anything you pay at any of their revenue centers goes into supporting their adoption wing and their rescue efforts- they do transports and so much more! The vet is very down to earth and you can tell- cares a great deal about your pets! My pets are always a little nervous when they go to any vet but they are super comfortable here and love the staff! The pet hotel is clean, well supervised, and the staff is super friendly. They have 24 hour supervision which is amazing and having the clinic next door during their stay is definitely reassuring! They're number one goal is making your pet feel at home and my pets are never going anywhere else after the horror stories I have heard from other boarding options. My pets love it there as well. They have stayed several times and always come out the same way they went in- healthy, super excited, and tails wagging like crazy! I love knowing that my money is going to a great cause on top of everything else. HART also has several programs in place that allow them to do low cost and NO COST spay/neuter to low income families in MD/PA/and WV. I have an uncle who got several cats done for free because he qualified. Otherwise he would never have been able to afford it! Everything they do, and every cent they make, goes into their mission of saving the lives of homeless animals. They can only do so much but they do all that they CAN do. They are always willing to TRY and help in any way possible even if that's simply pointing someone in the right direction. Not to mention the front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. I have never had a bad experience at HART. We even adopted out second dog from HART!!! I HIGHLY recommend them and would not go any place else unless I had no other option!!!!
